PATRIC/RAST Bacterial and IRD/ViPR Viral Workshops at Argonne National Laboratory, March 23-27, 2020

The new Bacterial-Viral BRC (BV-BRC), a collaboration between the PATRIC/RAST and IRD/ViPR teams, will be offering a joint bacterial and viral workshop March 23-27, 2020, at Argonne National Laboratory in the suburbs of Chicago, IL. The first 2.5 day section will focus on bacterial data and analyses using the PATRIC/RAST system and the second 2.5 day section will focus on viral data and analysis using the IRD/ViPR systems. Participants may attend one or both sections.

The workshop is composed of two 2.5-day sessions. Participants may sign up for either, or both, sessions.

Bacterial Session: Bioinformatics using PATRIC/RAST
March 23, 2020: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
March 24, 2020: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
March 25, 2020: 9:00 am – 12:00 pm
Viral Session: Bioinformatics using IRD/ViPR
March 25, 2020: 1:00 – 5:00 pm
March 26, 2020: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm
March 27, 2020: 9:00 am – 5:00 pm


Registration is free. Participants must pay for their own travel, lodging, and meals. Limited lodging and food services are available on the Argonne campus. The workshop will be limited to 40 people on a first-come, first-served basis.
